Worcester News - Hero pilot grounded over rumours By Lucy TatcellWow! Here is a story for me to remember and wonder over. (The plane above is a Boeing 777-200, similar to the Boeing 777-200ER, the aircraft the flown by the pilots of British Airways Flight 38.)
I wonder if it is really human nature to assume the worst about a guy, a guy in this case who probably saved the lives of 136 passengers on the Boeing 777 (that crash landed at Heathrow airport January 17, 2008) plus the rest of the crew plus who knows how many folks on the ground. We can always choose the happier thought about any situation, if only for the sake of making each of our own lives happier and healthier.
I choose to suppose that 'choosing the happier or happiest thought possible' is more natural to Ourkind, even if many do give in (maybe because of extra-stressful conditions) these days to the aberrant habit of thinking the worst instead. I used to fall back into that habit also, back before I began recovery from alchohol and drug addiction.
But unhappy habits can get started during any trouble. Any habit can be shifted into a healthier, happier, human, natural, free-flow through spiritual practices such as blessing, gratefulness, and thanksgiving.
Captain Burkill and First Officer John Coward, thank-you for saving British Airways (BA) Flight 38! I am thrilled to read that you are flying again. True-to-life heroic stories cheer me the most.
